Apea

Hey, has anyone among you guys attended Carnegie Mellon's Advanced Placement Early Admissions (APEA) summer program? I have questions as to how selective the program is; I am very interested in attending but fear my chances of being accepted into the program aren't that high.

Thanks
Tamir

I think as long as you meet their requirements (some require a PSAT score for Math of 65, etc), then you'll get accepted. Good luck.

How sure are you of this??

unless you're applying under their Summer Programs for Diversity (which means they cover all of your expenses), then Economist is right.

Will APEA help in getting into CMU (ECE)? Do you recommend the program?

it might, especially if you do really well. as you've prolly read in their brochure thing, if you do exceptionally well, they might invite you to skip senior year and dive straight to college. declining this won't hurt you at all; they're gonna take a note of it when you apply the fall of your senior year.
