APES or AP Chem

I am currently a senior planning to be a Biology Major in either UCLA/UCB/UCSD and I was wondering would taking APES give me a lesser chance of being accepted as opposed to taking AP Chem.

I don’t know if taking APES would give you a “lesser” chance of being accepted, but I DO know that 1) UCs really take into account the rigor of the senior year course load, and are a bit more forgiving on the grades (obviously, you have to do well in the class), and 2) It is really important to have a solid background in Chemistry before you go on to Bio (our school requires that you take Chem before going on to Bio), so I think it would be in your best interest to take AP Chem. So, it would probably be better for you to take AP Chem because of your desired major, but taking APES probably won’t affect your chances.

hmm thanks for you response but i still cant make up my mind if i should drop apes and switch to ap chem
