APES v AP Bio

I am in a scheduling conflict and need to choose between AP Bio and APES.
Which one looks better/helps for college?
Which one is harder class wise and ap test wise?

What does the rest of your schedule look like? What classes did you take last year and how did you do in them? Which class are you more interested in? What science classes have you taken so far?

Have you taken all three from bio, Chem, and physics? If not, prioritize the missing subject.
Next, if you have taken honors bio and honors Chem, you can take AP Bio. It’s a lot if memorizing and it’s quite difficult.
APES applies biology and chemistry to current issues. it’s easier than AP bio.
What’s the rest of your schedule like?
What type of colleges are you aiming for?
What year are you in school?

@IAmNotCreativ @MYOS1634 The rest of my sophomore year schedule is Band, Theater 2, English 2 Honors, Algebra 2 Honors, and AP Comp Sci (which I will be dropping).
Last year I got all A’s in all my classes: APHG, English 1 H, Geometry, Theater 1, Band, H Bio
I am just scared that if I did APES it won’t look as good as AP Bio on apps.
I am aiming, hopefully, for Ivy League and other schools of that caliber

You need a foreign language (Ivy league caliber colleges will expect level 4 or AP).
As a sophomore, can you take AP Euro or Ap World History?
You need to take honors Chem before you take AP Bio (anyway it’s a junior/senior class no one will expect you to have taken it sophomore year).

My advice would be:
Foreign language honors (at whatever level you are)
AP Euro or AP World history or another history class
English 2H
Algebra2H
Chemistry Honors
APES
Theater 2

I agree…don’t take AP Bio as a sophomore. You should be taking Honors Chemistry as a sophomore. Don’t worry about AP ES

Be sure you take biology, chemistry, and physics during HS.
