As some of you may know, each school receives an API score which is supposed to show how great a school is. My question is, do colleges care about the API scores? I mean, they show "good" a school is (and maybe show how competitive the school is). Does getting a 4.0 GPA at a high API school look better than a 4.0 at a lower API school ?

I'm not sure if schools look at API scores per se. However, I do know that colleges keep track of a high school's rigor and will note that a 4.0 at a competitive school is different from a 4.0 from a school where noone goes to college.

Well, I don't think you can really make that comparison with really high GPA's because it is possible that the person who got a 4.0 at the less competitive school could have still gotten the same GPA at the more competitive school, if that person went to that school.
