<p>It’s a California thing, so no. That does not mean that colleges disregard highly competitive schools (or vice versa), but that info is also prominent in average SAT scores, AP scores, % NMSF’s, etc.</p>
<p>Nope… My school was bottom ten percent when I entered freshman year. It improved since then, but still it shows that your environment doesn’t matter as much as your efforts to work with what you have.</p>
<p>I am in California. My school just scores a 832. Top 3 in my county.</p>
<p>So you go to a upper middle class suburb school, probably with one of those “Blue-Ribbon!” certifications, and a semi-competitive student body. Sends many kids to UCs schools. </p>
<p>Probably won’t help you at all for the top schools.</p>
