Did anyone of you get the email? (: What further consideration are they doing regarding finalist status?

Congrats! No DD did not get an email :(

I wonder if they do it all at once or as they pick because it is early or they are way ahead which is impressive compared to other scholarships…

Here’s the submit email we got:

"Thank you for submitting an application for the APIASF Scholarship Program. We are currently in the process of reviewing all of the completed applications and will be notifying students toward the end of April regarding the selection of our Finalists.
Students selected as Finalists will be required to submit the following documentation to the APIASF office:

A copy of your Admission Acceptance Letter from the college or university you plan to attend on a full-time basis in the fall of 2011. You can send any Admissions Letter in your possession; it does not have to be the school that you will ultimately attend.

A copy of your most recent High School Transcript (which must include grades up to the fall semester of the 12th grade), GED certificate or recent college transcript.

A copy of your Student Aid Report (SAR). This document will be mailed to you upon completion of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or will be available online if you filed electronically.

Please note that there is NOT any additional information that needs to be submitted at this time. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

Sincerely,

Take Care,
Lisa

I got that email too like a week or two ago.

But, today I got the finalist one which is very similar to that one. i think they release it by the scholarship but you should not worry (:

Made finalist status for the Edison scholarship! :D

4 more days to wait for results!

hmmmm y’all got it so much earlier! now i’m thinking today’s message was a mistake D:

I heard back today as well. Do you know how many finalists there are?

Heard back today as well. If they say that I advanced to the next round, does that mean almost-guarantee finalist, granted I send in the necessary documents in time?

If you look at their Recipient list from last year, you can tell :]
(Sorry, didn’t bother to actually count xD)

No, in my experience, it’s not almost-guarantee. I got finalist on 3/22 for Socal Edison one for APIASF, but was notified on 4/6 that I didn’t make it. Again, today I got a finalist email, but I doubt I’ll make the cut again.

Got emailed about being a finalist, today. Didn’t note which scholarship, but hopefully they do that after we send in the requested materials.

i didnt get it :(
