APIASF scholarship NOTIFICATION

<p>ANYONE RECEIVE THE NOTIFICATION? I just received the beautiful notification of winning it!</p>

<p>(caps on purpose lol, I am hyper and so happy!)</p>

<p>I am kind of concerned of everything they are asking though. What do they need my photo for? :S</p>

<p>Congrats! I did too! Which one did you get? And it’s probably for the profile for recipients kind of thing…there seems to be lots of forms to fill out though.</p>

<p>won the united health care scholarship, but i never indicated an interest in the health career. probably wouldn’t be right to accept it…right?</p>

<p>Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that you have been awarded the APIASF/Coca-Cola Foundation Scholarship. Please note that details of your scholarship have been sent by USPS mail regarding the amount of your scholarship. </p>

<p>You were selected from a pool of more than five thousand outstanding candidates to receive one of our awards. Your personal achievements and commitment to serving your community are exceptional. We are excited to count you as a member of the 7th class of APIASF Scholars.</p>

<p>The 2011-2012 class of APIASF Scholars comes from eclectic backgrounds and a diverse array of interests. Your fellow scholars come from Hawaii, Micronesia, North Carolina, New Mexico, and Alabama among many other US states and the Pacific Islands. Many of you have already expressed interests in majoring in biology, the arts, business and even becoming the next President of the United States. As individuals and together as APIASF Scholars, there is no telling what you will be able to accomplish!</p>

<p>i also got the notification. i believe that it is both winners of APIASF plus the sponsor’s scholarship so it is $5000? </p>

Eligibility Requirements:</p>

<p>•Be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census
•Be a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the United States. Citizens of the Freely Associated States may apply
•Be enrolling in a U.S. accredited college or university as a full-time, degree-seeking, first-year student in the upcoming academic year
•Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted) or have earned a GED
•Be the first in the immediate family to attend college</p>

<p>The website also saids that the scholarships range from 2500 - 8000 depending on which one you win so good luck to the rest for the bigger ones :)</p>

<p>How did you guys write your profile? Can we use the thank you letter that we wrote and transform it into a profile? I don’t see much of a difference between the thank you letter and the profile.</p>
