Aplication process

Hi, I have a question about the letters of recommendation. How does that process work? Do I just go up to the teacher and have them write a recommendation? Or do they have to fill out the recommendation on a specific Yale worksheet where they ask the teacher various questions like maturity and motivation etc.?

Bump please

Yale uses the Common App, which has its own teacher rec form. At many high schools, you have to fill out your part of the form and present it to the teacher who will write your rec. Some high schools, though, are now using the Naviance e-docs system.

Your high school establishes its own protocol. The place to go for answers is your high school’s guidance counselor or college.

What I meant to say: The place to go for answers is your high school’s guidance counselor or college counselor.

You use the common app and put your teacher’s email address in the school forms section. The form will then be assigned to them to fill.

perfect thank you. Yea my school is using naviance too it’s just not assigned to us yet. So is it under the school forms part of the common app?
