Which gpa do we list?
9-12 total gpa or 10-12?

Also do you round? Like if you have a 3.976 can you just round up to a 4.00?

Anyone???

It asks for “Cumulative GPA” and you can add 3.976

There is also that little question mark (help link) that says:
I am not sure how to report my Class Rank and GPA within the Academics section.

You should report your current Class Rank and GPA, even if they might change later in the school year. If your school does not rank, select “None” from the dropdown menu. If your school calculates both weighted and unweighted Class Rank/GPA, report the weighted value. If your school does not calculate a cumulative numerical GPA, or if it uses a GPA scale that is different than the options available in the dropdown menu, leave the Cumulative GPA field blank.

Hope that helps.

You give your GPA gor grades 9-12. Even if you city houses 9th grade in a junior high buidling and only grades 10-12 in ghe senior high building (as ours does), 9th grade is officially part of high school. The colleges want your GPA for all of high school up to the point of submission, so that is grades 9-12.

@calikid If your school is reporting 3.9whatever, DO NOT round. That’s lying.

So if my HS transcript includes 2 classes I took in 8th grade, I should recalculate my GPA without those 2 classes and report the recalculated GPA on the Common App?

That is something you should talk to your counselor about. Personally, I would say that since it is on your official HS transcript then you should leave it, but you did take it in 8th grade… I’m not totally sure I understand the situation, either, though.
