App Issues.

Okay, so I have two questions.

First, one of the schools I'm applying to has rolling admissions (LMU). Now I'm trying to get all my stuff in but I'm not taking my ACT until October. I've taken it before but I don't want my lower score (28) to hinder my chances at getting in, or receiving merit merit aid. What should I do?

Second, when it comes to first generation college student, how far back does it go, and what if one of your parents only attended for a semester or two?

Okay, so that was three. My bad.

anyone????

I'm interested in this too because i'm looking to apply EA and I"m also planning to take the ACTs in late October

I am applying rolling and taking SATs in october. i think there's nothing you can do about. you can send in your app early to show you're interested, and then just wait till the ACT/SAT comes in.

can't help you on the second question. sorry.

If you mean how many generations back...it means that you are the first generation to go to college. If your parents or grandparents or great grandparents attended, you would not be considered "first generation". If you mean...how many years back...well...it wouldn't matter...If your parents attended college, they attended college. I don't think it matters how long your parents attended...the reality is that the DID attend.

Well my ancestor's on one side of my have been here since pre-Revolution, so I'm sure at least one of them has gone to college (they were rich and whatnot). It's just that the past 3 or 4 generations have been basically farmers, so there wasn't any schooling involved really. I suppose it doesn't matter, since my mom attended for a semester or maybe two. Oh well, no biggie. I'm really more interested in my first question. Should I go ahead and apply? Maybe I'll call them and explain the situation.
