I'm not sure if this is the right forum at all for this question, but I really need some clarification on something that I totally forgot to ask sooner. I'll try and contact the school again before the deadline, but I figured I'd try here too.

On the application, the personal statement is just anything about your background or personal experience that you'd want the committee to consider. I was wondering, as a musical theatre applicant, if I could put my resume there? Or should it be a seperate statement/essay about something else? The PS is optional, but I don't want to leave it blank.

Thank you so much. :)

My college counselor said if you don't know what to write on your personal statement, it wasn't meant for you. It was for a student that had some sticky situations, or something that wouldn't quite fit in any of the other statement/writeup boxes.

I don't think you should put the musical theatre resume in there, it might look too show-boat'y. Is there a separate application process/arts supplement they have if youre applying to an arts program?

I'm not entirely sure if there's something else apart from the online app and then the audition, which I believe is considered a seperate app as well. I'm still looking into that; I'm just trying to make sure I've got everything covered before I send this off.

And thank you!
