app Question

On the dartmouth transfer supplement, one of the question is:
Have you been a candidate for admission to Dartmouth in any previous year?

This just means have you previously applied to Dartmouth right?

either that or have you ever been offered admission...i could see it both ways (being a candidate for admission could mean that you COULD have been admitted, or you COULD have attended)
technically, anyone could be a candidate for admission, so it seems like a silly question, unless they want to see perserverance...
i'd call/email the admissions office

it's asking you whether you've applied to the school in the past or not.

...for clarification on what is one of the easist questions on the application?

i think it's asking whether that i have applied to the school before as well.... because techinically to be candidate for admission, you would have to apply right?
can someone else just verify this for me please?

Please don't call the office for that. It might hurt?

The question is asking if you have ever applied to Dartmouth.

why would it hurt to call? you can simply remain anonymous, they arn't out to get you either...its easier to ask and get it right, then don't ask and get it wrong

Yes, it asking if you have ever applied before.

Thank you very much.
I hope they are looking for some kind of perseverence :D
