app. question

in the CALS supplementa it states "describe how your interests and related experiences have influenced your selection of major and how CALS will prepare you to be a leader in your chosen field" I'm applying as an atmospheric science major, and I participated in NOAA SKYWARN program. should i write that in my essay, or in the 150 extracurricular response? the response is supposed to be your most valued ec, and this is mine.

For the supplemental essay you will have to identify an academic interest or passion (and your related experiences, that is, how did this become your major interest) and you need to explain why you think CALS and your chosen major will help you to achieve your career goals. If you have one defining experience, NOAA, then you probably can’t help but talk about it in two places, but make sure that what you say about it is different in each essay. The supplemental should talk about other things that got you interested in atomospheric science or what you may have done beyond NOAA (clubs, lectures, etc). And think about whether there is any other topic for the 150 extracurricular response.
