App/Rec help

On the website it does not say anything about a counselor's recommendation, but can we go ahead and send one??? Also, do we have to give teacher's the teacher recomm. form provided by the college or can i just tell them to write it separately and mail it into caltech??? AND one more thing

can we go ahead and send the rec's even though we haven't started the application/fee ....how do we make sure the college doesn't lose it??

Is it better to get the rec form an AP teacher...i would do cal BC but she doesn't know me well enough so i will do statistics AP??????

Thanks

I think this is almost certainly part of the common app (it is a part of the school report). Your counselor should attach the letter to that part of the application, or mail it in separately.

You should use the form provided. If this is a serious problem, for some reason, then a standalone letter works too, but the form is better if you can do it.

You can send in the letters before the rest of the app, but if you can submit the first part early, all the better. In any case, your materials will not be lost. Things come out of order all the time.

Do whichever one you think can speak more informatively about your abilities and potential. Usually, the one who knows you better is better, but make sure your statistics teacher mentions that you are taking/have taken calculus and are doing well.
