For those who applied early, did you guys get your pin number yet? I applied online and still havent gotten any confirmation mail from Harvard...=/

I submitted my app online on the last day and got my pin number yesterday.

I sent my application on the 29th and haven't received anything yet!! That's it. I'm calling!

I sent my application on the last day and received my pin 3 days later. But I don't think you have anything to worry about because the website says that pin numbers will continue to arrive 2-3 weeks after they have received an application. So, it's probably nothing that you should stress over.

Why do I have this feeling that Harvard sends PINs to the best applicants earlier than to those who are less qualified (Ok, I'm not a 1600)

I am not the best applicant at all. I am probably a long shot, at best, so they could just do it randomly or regionally.

Yeah, I think so, Coz I'm international

That makes sense, then.

Still no pin. I sent in my app on the 18th of october but sent in the supplements on the 30th. And I used snail mail...

snail mail is evil... you want to check with the school if u use snail mail and get no response within 2 weeks

How many weeks after submission did people receive the mail?

Did anyone not receive pin numbers or confirmation letters yet? I still didnt. Harvard does not like me. Or maybe it's my crazy brother who dumped my letter into the paper shredder.

I dint receive it either, but I live in Jordan!

I got my stuff super fast. Mailed 15th received 17th, processed 17th, mailed out 17th, at my house on the 21st!

i didnt receive it. I called the tho..they said it was normal and also said they have everything already

Wow JCR! I am in the same boat as you. When did you send in your app and did you send it my mail or online? Mine was by mail (the snail way). And I sent in a whole bunch of extra stuff, like my senior pic, art supplements, and resume. From what I read in your posts, it looks like you sent in supplementary materials too. I think this may be the reason why our apps are taking so long to process. Or maybe Harvard does not like us. Hmm....are your stats good?

i send it online on the day of the deadline. I don't think it means anything...other people in my town didn't get theirs either. Plus my interiewer says for EA they usually don't have time to evaluate the supplementary materials (research paper in my case). Btw my credentials are pretty good.

i got my pin; i sent my app around the 26th and got my pin just a few days later.
i wouldnt worry too much about it, though

Don't worry, IHS. I called the admissions office yesterday, and the guy who received the call told me not to worry; it'll take a while for internationals to receive their letter. (I live in South Korea, and no one from my school who applied got a confirmation letter so far.)

Thanx greentea. It looks we are one of the few who are in the same boat
