I'm meeting with my congressman soon.
I'm training for my CFA

Sending in letters of rec/evaluations.

When should I take my CFA, who decides, and who administers it?
When do I schedule my DOBMERB examination?

Thanks!

You should aim to have your application complete by mid December if at all possible.
Have you been authorized to take your DoDMERB exam? If so you should schedule it asap.
CFA instructions are found here: [USMA Admissions: Apply to USMA: Prospectus: Steps to West Point: 6: Complete Testing](http://admissions.usma.edu/prospectus/step_06.cfm#CFA)

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Ann.
I recieved the piece of mail which states the doctor and optometrist I have to see.

Also, I got a 1890 when I was a senior and I’m apply with two years worth of credits from a community college. Should I take the test again and send the scores or it won’t matter?

Thanks

“I received the piece of mail which states the doctor and optometrist I have to see.”

I would get moving on that ASAP.

Have you been in contact with your RC in admissions? He really is the best one to advise you on scores if you have a college transcript for consideration. In general the higher your SAT scores the better…

You do not want to make the mistake of waiting until the deadline to complete your file. The class is usually almost filled by the time that deadline arrives…

silly question…but how do I get in contact with my RC

You should be able to send an e-mail through your candidate portal.

Alternatively call (845) 938-4041 and ask to speak to the Regional Commander for your area.

The answer directly is that YOU decide where and when to take the CFA and YOU make the arrangements for who will Proctor (score) your exam. You need to tiptoe a fine line of rushing to get your information submitted and sending the best/highest score possible.
If you are early in your training, it is logical that next week’s CFA score would be higher than this week. That would seem to be a reason to delay.
But don’t wait too long! A snowstorm, illness, or tragedy (for you or your Proctor) could delay and ultimately disqualify you. It happens every year. Don’t wait until the last minute.
No easy answer. There are more pointers at [Service Academy Admissions - Welcome](http://www.toughestschoolsintheworld.com/) . Note the blog CFA notes. Also some info about DoDMERB.
Good Luck!
