<p>I have received admission to Appalachian State. I also applied for all of their 4 year scholarships and anxiously awaiting an invitation to their Scholars Day in February. Anyone else in the same situation? Anyone else heard from ASU? Thought that invites were to go out mid January, but nothing yet. Thanks!</p>
<p>My son has been accepted to App State, but has not heard about scholarships, scholars day or the honors college. Based on his stats and info on their website, he should get some level of scholarship and be accepted to the honors college. A friend with lower stats told him she was accepted to the honors college in December, but I am beginning to wonder. Good luck to you.</p>
<p>I received my Honors College letter about 2 weeks ago. Is Appalachian your son’s first choice or one of several options?</p>
<p>App is his safety school–from both an academic and a financial perspective.</p>
<p>I’m also awaiting information on scholars day and honors college. The last I heard was that App will inform students about scholars day by the end of January (so any day now) and we will hear about honors college sometime between now and March. I was informed of my acceptance in December, but I know that a lot of students from my school have not. Does anyone know why that is?</p>
<p>My mom is a school counselor and she received an email that all First Round applicants should know of their status by yesterday. They made it sound like everyone should find out yesterday, but I know that isn’t the case since I found out in December as well. Maybe those of us that found out earlier were excellent candidates who were easy admission decisions!</p>

<p>@sd1995 I only received an invitation by mail - my MyApp account does not show any changes and I did not get an email either.</p>
<p>I agree with @foodie0830. No email or change in account. Seems like there would have been at least two ways of notification in case it was lost in the mail.</p>

<p>FYI- We reserved our hotel room today. The one that was recommended through ASU was $150+ per night, but we used name your own price on Priceline and got a nice room for $75.</p>
