So I today I sent all six letters of recommendation: 1 counselor, 3 teacher, and 2 extra. I guess my default setting is to aim for the maximum, but in this case that's wrong.

Everywhere I've read says if you send more than three, it looks like you're trying to hide another part of you application. And I don't want to waste the time of the AdComs.

The thing is, I don't know which letters to get rid of (or if I even can?). I've read my English teacher's (hers was awesome), I NEED a letter from a science/math teacher for certain schools, and I spent so much time talking to my Spanish teacher about her letter, so I don't want to have wasted her time (and that one made me cry).

My lab mentor asked me if she could write one, she said I was the best student they've ever had in the lab, and she's a researcher at a top university, so I really don't think I should get rid of hers.

The other extra recommendation is from a science program coordinator I have known personally for the past year. I KNOW hers is glowing.

What should I do? Should I be freaking out or not?

Thanks, everyone.
