37 recruits. Surprisingly only 3 from Cali and none from Florida

Upon review, however, I'm not sure this group can get the job done.

Its fine to bring a QB from Texas, but "academic all state" just doesn't cut it.

Byerly are you going to Yale?

He is an alumni interviewer for Harvard.

I'm going to Yale for a football game in November!

Ohhhhh, THAT'S why he always kicks ass in debates. My extreme bad.

Where does Byerly interview? My Harvard interviewer was a real douche...

By that, may I assume you were not admitted?

It may not be fair to blame the interviewer.

Silly old Yale, looking for brains AND brawn. Such a travesty would never happen at Harvard .

An0nym0u5, he's also a lawyer.

Here's Harvard's top QB recruit:

Then there's this kid, referred to in an amusing tidbit from the Atlanta Constitution about area football recruits:

"Jeff Witt, QB, Parkview: Witt (6-0, 200) led the Panthers to the Class AAAAA finals, passing for 1,700 yards and 18 TDs, and rushing for seven scores. Was named first-team all-Gwinnett. A 4.0 student, Witt will attend Harvard and play football. "Before I went up [to Harvard]," Witt said recently, "I had an idea maybe they would be kind of nerdy. But they were just absolutely normal in every way." Conclusion: Makes the right decisions at the right times."

Heres the scouting report on Witt::

And another amusing Atlanta Constitution quote from young Mr. Witt:

"Jeff Witt quarterbacked Parkview to the Class AAAAA title game, scored 1450 on his SAT and carries a 4.0 grade point average.

But one seemingly simple question leaves him fumbling for the right words: "Where are you going to college?"

The not-so-simple answer: Harvard.

"When you tell somebody that, you kind of sound like you're bragging," Witt said. "The guys up there that I met, they call it the 'H-bomb.' "

dude i know that Jay Pilkerton guy from MBA
our team plays MBA every year
that guy is not bad at all

oh my. i was arguing yield rates with a harvard alumni interviewer lawyer. how silly of me. blush smiley

Can Pilkerton put on weight? 215lbs is a bit light for a linebacker these days.

the football team can't possibly be as bad as the Hockey Team

ouch. snap.

Be careful. I hear the Yale games are considerably rowdier than the Harvard ones!

Byerly, I complained about my interviewer before I got a decision from Harvard. He asked some retarted questions and seemed really arrogant.

Tell me what some of the "retarded" questions were.

By way of background, I will replicaate your initial CC post here:

damn, youre a grouchy old ****. It's good to see that Harvard graduates like you have lives so they don't have to resort to poking fun athighschool students online. My interviewer wanted me to go into detail about the precise number of friends I had and the history of my relationships with women.

Why do you think he asked that?

Was there anything you said that could have led him to probe in this area, angry?

Were these the questions that also struck you as arrogant?
