<p>My friend was recently rejected from SCU, and it was her first choice school. Her academics were strong, and although her SAT's were a bit low, her GPA put her well in the middle 50% of applicants. Not to mention that she had strong rec letters and ECs.</p>

<p>Do you think she has a chance at an appeal?</p>

<p>She needs something new that wasn't on the app. Universities don't like to say they were wrong just because "my gpa was high enough and my recs were strong." They need something that wasn't expressed in the app like new grades or circumstances not detailed in the app.</p>
