Appeal for more aid?

I’m very grateful that I was accepted and am very grateful to have gotten a 30k grant from the school as well as about 8k in loans. However, I’ve still got around 23k to pay a year, and my parents have expressed to me that they don’t know if they’ll be able to pay this much every year, let alone if my grant money changes over the next four years. I don’t really have any substantial claims of financial change or anything like that, other than the fact that money is going to be tight next year because my brother is a year younger than me and will also be going to college, and a lot of the money reflected in our EFC (which is about 23k) is savings for the both of us, and for general family emergencies in the case that one of my parents ever loses their jobs.
Anyway, my question is, is it worth it to appeal for more aid? BU is my top choice school, and I really would like to try as hard as I can to make up for the difference in money.

i am in this exact situation! i went through the school i’m in (CFA), but i sent an email today appealing for more
