Appeal for Summer or Fall

Like most of the people here, I was accepted into the spring term and want to change my term for either the summer or the fall. What are my chances for admission into any of those chances? I have sent an email to UF being very specific about why I want the term change. But if anyone has had any success with this or has any information regarding this annoying issue please share.

Thanks,
NurdTurd

Hmm, I got into fall. What are your stats?? I can chance you for fall...

If possible, I'd try to go for fall as opposed to summer. That way you can get a summer job to pay for expenses, like R&B

1180 SAT, 4.5 ish GPA, 11 AP's, Two years varsity sport, great extracurricular activities, won business competitions.

You're ahead of me in everything besides the SAT (1300).
If you call admissions and ask them, you'd have a fighting shot at getting in for fall.
Good luck!
BTW...your name is hilarious

I don't think they are even taking appeals yet. Perhaps if they have a lower yield they may consider requests after the May 1st deposit deadline......

I know students with your SAT who would kill for a spring admit. Best of luck, but a spring admit is not so bad.

Thanks for your reply.

Do you recommend I should take some courses at some other school and then go for spring there?
If ,so what institution near UF should I go to?

If it's only for one semester, going to another school would be more hassle than it's worth (moving there, applying, etc). If you're bad at math, for example, it might be wise to take your math requirement at a CC to get it over with at a place where it's easier- but aside from that, it would be better to get a job and make some $$ during your spare time. That's just me.

Santa Fe is the nearest institution to UF. Get some classes out the way before your spring term. Otherwise, get a job, and make money!
