Appeal or FAFSA?? ED applicant help!

<p>My family income has decreased due to change in employment of my father in early 2012. Although I put projected income for 2012 when filing the CSS Profile, the financial aid package for my ED school seems based on 2011 income and EFC is higher than expected.</p>

<p>My question is, since I am required to file FAFSA and submit my 2012 tax report until February in order to "finalize" my aid package, do I need to just submit these documents and wait or appeal my current aid package now with supporting documents?
I was wondering if the aid package will be adjusted to my 2012 income when I file FAFSA without appealing.</p>

<p>You should talk to your school’s FAO now.</p>

<p>Your school will use FAFSA to calculate your Federal financial aid and use CSS Profile to calculate your institutional financial aid. CSS Profile will not get updated with any changes you make on FAFSA.</p>
