Appeal Question HELP!

I am trying to appeal to UCD, UCI, and UCSC. I know that there's no guarantee appeal will work, but i'm going to give it a shot because there is nothing to lose, all they can say is no again. which achievement is better??
UC Prompts:
-Letter of appeal clearly stating new or compelling reason for appeal consideration (UCI)
-Extraordinary special achievement/recognition, since your original application (UCD)

Should i write about this:

about me being the treasure for Jefferson Service club and how i helped contribute to the success of raising over $3500, by having a marathon (i'm not going to go into too much detail about the marathon, but our goal was to raise as much money as possible for organizations). since i'm the treasure, i am in charge of fund-raising ideas, contacting business and asking for donations..... i work alongside with other club officers to make this event happen and be able to raise this amount of money.

OR

about myself being on the cross country team(varsity runner). i got most improved varsity runner. i participated on the varsity xc team which consisted of the top 7 runners on the team. it shows that i am hard working, willing to challenge myself to improve........we placed 4th or 5th place at HAAL and this was a vast improvement since last year. also the xc team participated in North Coast Section and i was a participant. overall, team work brought us together to succeed and i contributed to the success.

If these achievements are not significant, what should i write about? anyone have ideas for me? does anyone have experience of successful appeal?

Thanks!!

north coast as in CIF?

if you didn’t get in to woodward park for state then it don’t matter.

yes, north coast as in CIF. i know its not significant that we didn’t make it to state. the point is that our xc program has been weak for many years and this year it began to get stronger, being able to not come in last place for division 1 girls.

honestly the north coast is extremely weak if your not making state or at the least getting a high ranking at sections its not going to matter.

Sac-joaquin section state meet qualifier

Write about both. They are both excellent achievements – one in terms of the community impact, and the other about team impact. You don’t need to say much more than you did in your post. Stress your role, what you did, how you went about it, what you achieved, and why it was special.

You should try to get your GC to help. He may have additional insight, and perhaps the ability to directly contact the university admission committees.

Best of luck!

so in one letter talk about both of the achievement? will this confuse the reader since they are reading about community impact then team impact?
