I am just wondering if you guys can look at my reason for an admission(transfer) appeal and tell me if it is compelling enough.

Due to an economic hardship, my family sold our house. We were going to buy a new one but at the last moment the bank refused to mortgage my parents. We didn't have much time left to look for somewhere to rent because we would have to move out soon.

I am the only English speaker in my family, so I had to search for a house to rent and go see houses with my parents as an interpreter during my final exam period. It really did affect me a lot especially because I did not have much time to study, and I was very stressed out. (My whole family was depressed... to be exact)

But I am not sure if this would be compelling enough.
I am being desperate because I talked to the admission advisor and she told me there was only 0.01 gpa difference between the cutoff and my gpa. She told me to give it a shot IF I have a compelling reason. But I do not (and cannot) want to lie or exaggerate my story.

Any opinions will be appreciated. :)
