C. What is your intended major, area of study, or college of interest? Why?

I'm appealing my postponed application to University of Minnesota. So far I've written up some preliminary stuff for these questions but I'm not sure if I'm answer them too well.

For question #1, I pretty much say how I put in my deposit to Michigan State because I got postponed by MN and that I need to get a decision soon so I can request my money back depending on my admission. I also note how MN is my top choice school for next year.

For question #2, I talk about how my senior year grades show how I've rebounded from my poor junior grades (had major health problems that involved being hospitalized for 3 weeks and another month of physical therapy). I talked about my health problems in my application essay so they know about it.

For question #3, I say how I'm not quite sure what I want to major in because there are multiples things I'm interested. Then I go on to say I'm interested in journalism, communications, english, teaching, and food science. I also explained why I was interested in each of those programs.

Am I doing this wrong or what? Anybody have any suggestions as to what to write? The reason I decided to appeal arebecause of the reasons I stated and from reading CC's forums on the MN board it seemed everyone who appealed was offered admission.

Thanks for your time and suggestions!
