Appeal rejected. i am just sad about UCD :(

<p>I’m so sad, i appealed to Davis for communication major and still did not get in… simply because my community college GPA is below 3.0 :frowning:
i cried, because I tried so many possibilites and put myself out there spending so much time to increase my chances of getting in. I did also look up online for success stories and look for what Davis are looking for in my letter… worked on my appeal letter and got a great letters of recs. Still didn’t get in :’( </p>

<p>so torn up and disappointed. it really hurts to think that they cannot offer me admission… I tried not to think about UCD now… </p>

<p>Even though i have a second choice UC which is UCI… I’ve always just wanted to go to Davis for communications, plus it is only an hour away from home :frowning: I’m going to miss home so much when I’m at Irvine</p>

<p>I’ve thought about staying at community college for another year, but i would hate it to waste it…</p>

<p>everyone has trouble accepting their rejections, so don’t worry, you’re not alone! UCI is a great school, almost like UCD in many aspects. and it’s not like you’re going to be homesick forever; you can always return home during vacations. and besides i heard stories of homesick students adjusting to their new homes, and loving them by the end of their first year!</p>

<p>That is all the more reason to go to Irvine instead of Davis.</p>
