Appeal responses?

Has anyone received their response from the admissions board yet?

i brought mine in on the 29th of march but i still haven’t heard back. I’m nervous but not really counting on getting in.

I got my response on 4/18.
Got an acceptance e-mail directed from the director of Admission Office.

Hope this info helps…?

When did you send your appeal?

@jeffrey08808-congrats! Can you let us know the compelling reason of your appeal and are you OOS?

Were you initially rejected or waitlisted?

I send in my petition on 3/24. I was rejected at first but I found out Collegeboard failed to send my latest SAT to UDub , that is the reason I appealed.
And yes, I am an OOS student but now living in Taiwan.

What was the difference between your SAT scores?

And just out of curiosity, when did you receive a confirmation email of them telling you that they received your petition

I don’t think my SAT score helped me get in, but my appeal letter did. I put a lot of effort to show my passion.
The admission office replied just three days after I FedEx-ed them.
Most important of all, I sent the office emails quiet often to make sure everything is on track and kind of show my eagerness.

I sent in my appeal on 4/11 (I was waitlisted), and I received my acceptance today (4/29)!

Congrats, jeffrey08808 and Husky1798! Good luck to everyone else still waiting!

hey I was wondering if it was possible to get accepted after the enrollment deadline?

@Husky1798, did you email or mail your appeal? I’m still on the waitlist and I emailed my appeal a few weeks ago. I put a lot of effort on my appeal, but all I got was a cold response saying “if you haven’t accepted the offer, then accept the offer.”

@speedsolver thank you! :)

@rsh5932 I sent my through mail in a big envelope, inside I had my letter, a letter of recommendation letter and a official transcript

It’s required to send it through postal mail or in person, the guidelines are here: [Guidelines for Special Admission and Appeal | University of Washington](http://admit.uw.edu/Admission/Applied/Appeal#freshmen)

I wish you best of luck! :)

Mine* and wrote an extra “letter” haha sorry it’s hard to type on my phone!

@Husky1798 Thank you for your reply! Well, I didn’t read that when I was sending my appeal. However, I sent mine on April 8th and they responded

"Have you sent us the waitlist form? If you would like to accept the offer to be placed on the waitlist, please complete the form you received and return it to us. If we do not receive that form, you will not be placed on the waitlist.

We appreciate your understanding and following the instructions that were initially sent to you in your waitlist offer."

Well, and I didn’t hear anything from them after that email. I’m an international student so email works as well, but I don’t know what is going on haha…

@Husky1798 Well, I just called the admissions office and asked about my appeal and they said there is no record of my appeal. I sent my appeal to the right address and I even got a reply from a student assistant, but yea they don’t have my appeal and my status is still pending. I spent a lot of effort writing that appeal and that student assistant did not save my appeal in their system I guess. Haha just wow.

@rsh5932 that’s really unfortunate l:. Have you considered sending the letter a second time? I dont think theres a specific due date.

@rsh5932 no problem! And I’m very sorry to hear about that! However I agree with silentboy123 that you should resend your appeal through postal mail. The waitlist is separate from appealing, so it doesn’t hurt to try :)
