<p>But then you would be in denial. Because why would you send in an appeal if you truly thought you were going to get rejected again?</p>
<p>My backup is UCR if none of my appeals go through. I visited UCSC too, but I felt that UCR was a better fit for me. I'll be happy at UCR, though, so I won't be upset if all of my appeals are rejected. I was actually pleasantly surprised with UCR's campus when I visited it this weekend. It's not as ugly as people make it out to be. I actually liked it.</p>

<p>I was unfortunately rejected by all the UC's...didn't apply to Riverside or Merced. I was deferred by Santa Clara EA then rejected. I got into SJSU only.</p>
<p>^^ Ouch. That is bad luck man :(. I am pretty sure you can/could still apply to Riverside as they are/were accepting late applications. </p>
<p>SJSU was one of my top choices for a while. It seems like a great school in the middle of a good area for jobs/internships. I am sure you will make it work if the appeals don't fall through.</p>

Ugh. And nah, I think I'd rather go to CC than Riverside/Merced/SJSU. I mean, I'm sure they're all great schools, but I don't think I'll be happy there.</p>
<p>I got my UCD reject email too. Why don't you want to go to UCR. I choose it over Cal State Long Beach , where I also was accepted.</p>
