Appeal Statuses and Results

Hey guys,
Just wanted to make a thread for this years appeal results and what not. I sent my appeal on the 29th of march and they received it a couple days later. I am currently waitlisted so we will see how it turns out.
From what i have read it usually takes about 4 weeks to get an appeal decision.

Has anyone received any appeal results?
how long has it been since you sent in your appeal?

I think I sent mine in around march 30th and it also showed up as received a few days later but I havent heard back yet.

I going to send mine tomorrow…
Judging by the last year’s appeal thread, I assume they’re going to release decisions during May?

I’m hoping chances are good this year.

I was waitlisted as well. I’ve been told that anyone who is waitlisted has a higher chance of acceptance than a person who was rejected.

I sent my appeal on the 8th. It appeared that they recieved on the portal on the 12th.

Any estimate on when they are going to give out decesions?

My guess was that it would be before waitlist decesions come out but after reading the previous posts I don’t know what to think. Do they admit off the waitlist before they start admiting off the appeals?

well if you have been waitlisted you obviously have a higher chance at being admitted than the people that were rejected (because they are already rejected)

unfortunately, i do not have any new information for an appeal so hopefully they start admitting people off the waitlist first

i also heard UCSB does not guarantee that the appeals will be read by May 1st. so if you plan on appealing turn them in early

New information about me:

 1. Fall semester-4 A’s, 1 B (4.4 GPA)- by far the best semester I have ever had. Also shows that I didnt fall into senioritis.
 2. Named Captain of my team
 3. Mom got diagnosed with Osteoporosis. Since UCSB is the closest UC to me, it is very convinient because I can get a great education at the same time be able to help my mom if she ever needs it.

I hope this plus the fact that I was waitlisted will be enough for me to get accepted.
