Appeal to Common Decency

It may seem a bit detrimental to your fancy of a fix-all board, but allow me to clarify some things:

None of the students here work in Admissions. None of the students here have ANY idea whether or not you will be admitted into Penn.

All they can offer are general opinions towards how your statistics meet what they have envisioned as “Penn’s criteria” for an accepted student.

Also, there are Penn students on this board who are great at offering opinions, but they are only opinions.

Bern does a great job at trying to answer your questions, yet he is very fixed in his opinions on certain aspects of Penn. I have a different personality from Bern, and love a lot of the things that he knocks about Penn, and loathe some that he enjoys. Bern is a friend of mine, but we are two different people, and to each his own.

I challenge all students who come to this board to ask objective questions aimed at informing, not merely evaluating.

Thanks.
