How do i appeal. i dont care where i stay so long as its a double. a triple is a rip off. for almsot the same price u have an extar body with no extra room. how do i appeal. thanks

also, what if you appeal and you get something that you dont like even more...can you still accept the first offer they give you?

i want a plaza, and i got a de neve triple. i want a de neve double. i dont want to appeal and end up in a res hall.

oh, and save the "triples arent so bad" posts. we're asking about appealing to housing, not your opinions on triples.

ok, poked around http://www.housing.ucla.edu/myhousing

to request a change of assignment, you first have to accept the offer they gave you, then submit a change of assignment application. then wait and see if you get placed in what you requested or not.

Is it likely for people to appeal with a triple and get a double?

i'd guess chances arent high. i'm trying anyways.

I got a triple too, but I want a double.

Does getting a triple mean that you will 100% definitely have 2 roomates? Is there any chance that only 2 students occupy a triple room?

I'm wondering that too...see I was thinking about appealing...but I doubt i will. What if one of the people designated in my sproul triple appeals and is put in another hall? does this mean I'm all of a sudden in a double? or do they just relocate another appealer into my room?

is housing still guaranteed after you appeal?

you accept your current offer first. THEN you submit a Change of Assignment Request. that way, even if you dont get what you requested, you still have your original assignment.

DO NOT REJECT THE OFFER THEY GAVE YOU!!! IF YOU REJECT THEIR OFFER, YOU WILL HAVE NO MORE GUARANTEED HOUSING!!!

I accepted the offer, but for some reason it's still not letting me fill out a change of assignment form. =/

is it best to appeal early? I thought it was best to apply for housing early, but obviously this was not the case....haha
