I'm thinking about appealing if I do not get in...

How do I appeal?

Has anyone appealed successfully to UCLA?

My worst fear is that I end up on the waitlist :(

Do you guys know how long the waitlist usually is?

APPLYING AS UNDECLARED - HUMANITIES

Your facing some stiff competition, but it is possible...

You could appeal (if you're rejected), but I'd suggest focusing on your other apps instead. By virtue of being OOS, you chances maybe better at private schools and LACs.

yeah.. maybe USC would be a better choice?

Yeah..USC, Occidental, etc...are better chocies, at least with respect to admissions chances.

uhm stressed out..UC's only do 10-11..and you know for your gpa you can only add up to 8 bonus points for honors/aps (8 semesters). If your GPA is anything less then a 4.0 UC weighted after that, your put into the second bracket which is 3.7-3.99 weighted and of those only 14 percent get in. With your SAT 1 only a 19something, your going to be facing a uphill battle. And you can only appeal if there is something on your app taht you forgot to mention i.e. you were deaf in one ear or something like that. about 5 percent of appeals actually work.

and applying OOS to a UC requires higher stats. for december you will have had to hit a 2100 at least to be competitive.

yeah.. my UC weighted GPA is 4.0-4.1 with only 8 semesters of extra points..

haha deaf in one ear?

How are my chances for USC?

3.6x-3.99 is only 14% chance entry?... is that true? Uh oh... is it the same for in state?

i think it's higher

stressed0ut:
