Why would you say something like that? I don’t like your tone at all. I hope you are more respectful to people in real life because that kind of attitude isn’t going to get you anywhere in life.

My family needs me and UCSB is less than an hour away. Good for me, like I wrote in my Appeal Letter "UCSB is the perfect university for me because I will be attending a Top Tier University while at the same time be close enough to help my family.

FutureENTSurgeon: Did you get into UCSB?

FutureENTSurgeon: you have a very good stat for appeal, wow a 4.4GPA, the highest I have even gotten was a 4.2. Don’t feel bad if ucsb doesn’t accept ur appeal u can always transfer or find happiness in other places. I appealed to my dream school and got rejected too, but oh well SCREW THEM!!! And best wish to your mom, she’s lucky for having such a caring kid.

just let you guys know; this year UCSB had really high yield so no one on the waitlist is being accepted. the chances of your appeal being accepted is very low, which is dissappointing. However, I suggest spending your time and effort trying to find an alternate solution instead of obsessing over whether or not you will be accepted. I am upset that my waitlist and appeal got rejected but now I have moved on and decided to go to UC Santa Cruz. I still wish you guys the best of luck…

One of my classmates in my Comm section is a transfer from UC Santa Cruz.

Keep that in mind. :)

It’s been a rough year for waitlist applicants, after last year’s UCSB waitlist miracle :)

But in the end, just know that you will get a decent education anywhere you go.

the little box that said “appeal status” for me is now just gone. Does that mean it was denied? It disappeared when the waitlist page changed :/

^yeahh. i dont think any appeals got accepted since ucsb had too many people SIR.

why my appeal decision still pending?! Just give me something please, deny or accept, i do not really care now cuz this appeal thing **** me off!!!

Anyone in the same situation as me?

Lanceluo same for me. I just want to know for sure even though it seems impossible that I would be accepted.

oh well. I guess no news is the best new for now

Just checked mine was denied. :(

same here! not approved.

Is anyone else a transfer appeal? I got an email from someone at UCSB yesterday asking for my Spring Final Grades. I am hoping this is a good sign…Has anyone else got an email from UCSB asking for this?

Im a transfer appeal… and I havent recieved any email regarding final grades yet, but i mean they only got my appeal on the 20th sooo i guess they still have awhile…oy vey!

For those appealing what is youur GPA now and what do you expect it to be after spring?

Mine was a 3.0 as a transfer, and im still waiting for all my grades to come in but it should be around a 3.2. But I did just get a letter from them asking for my spring grades asap so thats exciting!! hopefully thats a good sign.

Im glad, good luck!!! Im waiting for spring grades to appeal.

I sent my grades in. when do you think theyll get back to transfer appeals about granting or denying? The suspense is killing me.
