Anyone else writing an appeal??? I was just getting over USC until last night when I decided that I might as well give it a shot. Of course it is due tomorrow and so I have to fly down to personally deliver it to the Admissions Office. Any ideas to persuade the committee my way?

good luck!! do you seriously have to write the appeal letter then fly down there and deliver it to them in one day??

yup :) I'm just in Norcal though so the flight isn't too bad, about one hour. The cost on the other hand is a different story, although if I got in it would all be worth it!

well if i were you write a kick ass appeal letter, and while delivering it to the administrations office, get on your hands and knees and beg. Start crying if you have to, maybe they will feel bad

Yes I've taken this into consideration. And yes I will be wearing full out USC attire. ...And yes, the water works will be ready to go. haha

good luck! i'm appealing too, but since i'm going to be at a production set tomorrow i won't be able to hand it in myself, so my dad has to drive it up... i hope that doesn't look too bad :/

lol.

Wow, I admire your dedication.

You have to let me know how this turns out for you; that's just too amusing.

I have no idea what to write, but good luck!

I will be honest, but I think wearing USC attire might not help you. I think dressing in semi-formal wear is more appropriate.

keep your fingers crossed! today the last appeals were sent in :O
i hope everything works out...

I sent in my appeal last Tuesday, as most of you know, and it got there on Thursday. Anybody have any ideas as to when the appelees are supposed to hear back?

WELL im back from my quick "vacation." Got down to LA around 2 o clock, took a taxi down to USC turned in the appeal and went right back to the airport and now im back home. I think there was a USC preview day going on today because the Admissions Center was pretty crowded, but theres nothing to do from here but wait!! By the way Spark the USC attire was a joke.

Main--they say that if your decision is overturned then you will know by the 26th or before, and if it isnt you will hear on the 30th.

Well, wouldn't that be a nice birthday gift for me? 04/21

My friend flew from NY to Stanford to personally deliver an appeal and she got in!

Then again, her stats and EC's were above average to begin with.

When was this? Not this year, I presume? Last year???

man i called to make sure my letter was there, and she said "yes we have it, if your decision is overturned, we will notify you by the 27th" and i asked if i would probably hear sooner if it was ovrturned or anything and she said most people hear right on or around that day. so long to wait lol. i thought the letter said the 26th too?

and does anyone know if i would still be eligible for a NMF presidential scholarship if i get accepted on appeal to fall 07? what about sring 07?

and anyone know anything about the summer program and if that might come into play with appeals and articulation agreements, etc?

wow you seem like a dedicated trojan, i think if you explain the circumstance you went through to send the appeal, they would consider you. Otherwise your plane ticket comes to waste.

Yeah thats what I'm afraid of...
