ok, so ive been going through some threads and i noticed a lot of people that got rejected from ucla said that they will appeal for another major. guys, i truly am sorry that you guys didnt get in, but you can only appeal if you have new and significant information. applying for another major is not new information. Being able to appeal for another major would basically be having a second chance at admissions (btw, ucla admissions is fully aware of this. friend works in admissions). My friend also told me that people who are successful with their appeals have pretty crazy new info: Born without legs, severe case of autism, etc. Anyways, yeah just wanted to clear that out. good luck guys

So if you have no legs they’ll go from rejecting you to accepting you?

NEW AND RELEVANT INFORMATION:
“if you don’t accept me, I’m committing suicide.
consider that for the rest of your life, and how it’ll affect your grandiose sense of self worth…”

quentin takes out saw

In your appeal letter, tell them that you are left-handed and that you have struggled with this disability your whole life. You will get in.

What if you were missing a major requirement? Would having autism/missing limbs/disability wave the requirement?

^ only if it was dyscalculia.
</3

Would relaying to them that you plan to take your last major prereq during summer 10 (if they don’t know?) This is, of course, under the assumption that the missing prereq is the reason for rejection.

did you get in janethedoe*? ^^^ oops like 3 people posted before i got to click reply -_-

Team Pending ftw!

LOL xelink i dare you to do that! HAHA

Let’s all just go to Chico State. …all I wanna know is…WHO’s COMING WITH ME??!

thanks for paraphrasing my post

^not likely imo

celtics, ive never read that post before

@thebigsh0w

Great idea- it will become quite a useful appeal for my presidential election recount in the year 2020
;)

In my first semester of CC (right after high school) I moved during the middle of the semester, which contributed…slightly… to getting a 2.8 for that term. Do you guys this is even worth mentioning? With a 3.38 overall for poli sci, I’m pretty much convinced that my GPA is just way too low. Also, it seems as if UCLA really holds it against you for missing pre-reqs, even if they weren’t offered at your school.

I got into every school I applied to.
what’s the point of appealing to a school you didn’t apply to?
