appealing at uci

so i got rejected from uci but i am going to appeal. I just wanted some opinions on what im gonna appeal on. i moved between sophomore year and junior year to a different city and had a complete culture shock. during my entire sophomore year my parents talked about moving which caused me to worry and be completely stressed out which caused my grads to slip a little in sophomore year. I didnt really get a chance to talk about this in my essay or in the application and i am hoping this is a good reason to appeal. i know appeal yield rates are low but im going to try it anyway. thank you.

appealing is a long shot but you can always try because it won’t hurt.
first of all, i dont think moving to a different city and getting a culture shock is a good reason to appeal…i think you should focus on whether or not something dramatic happened to your family that hindered you from studying and achieving good grades.
