I recently received my reviewed financial aid package (I had made an appeal). My EFC is still way higher than my family can actually afford.
Should I even bother appealing again? I don’t have any more documents to give to the financial aid office. I would basically just be begging for more money with the same reasons I provided in the first appeal.
The school has given you a response.
The tribal counsel has spoken. If your parents cannot afford the revised financial aid package, then you must move on
to a more affordable option
If you don’t have new information or details to provide, saying “pretty please” won’t help.
I agree with the others. “Begging” is not how FA works - it is very formulaic. At the end of the day, if you can’t afford it, then you can’t afford it and you need to look for an option that you can afford. Good luck.
Agreeing with others. You appealed. The price is too high.
Time to move on to affordable options.
IIRC, you are an international student…and you wrote this:
You need to look at affordable options given your financial situation.
Move on to other options.
If the EFC is too high, it is not affordable to you. Look for schools that have lower cost or you may get merit aids.
If you are sure your documentation is correct, then move on. If you feel there is still an error in how your documentation is interpreted, then keep working with the FA office.
