Appealing for more Scholarship?

Hi,

I just received the GW package this morning and found out that there is a 15,000 dollars presidential scholarship a year. I really love GW but I would like more scholarship since I am a Chinese student and the cost is huge in Chinese currency.
And as an international studnent, I am not eligible for financial aid in GW. But I am still very happy to get the scholarship.
Has anybody called the admission office to talk with the staff about this? Is there a possibility that I could get an increase on my scholarship by talking nicely with them directly on the phone?

If this wouldn't work, could I work on campus or get more scholarship after my first year once my grades are good?

Thank you in advance!

you can work on campus for a work-study program but that’s not scholarship that’s you working and you can make around 3-5k extra by doing that, but i think what they gave you is what they gave you. i only know of one girl ever who successfully appealed an aid package and countless more have tried. trying never hurts though. good luck!

Thank you mahomushi68, I think I am not going to appeal and probably going GW.

Campus Job is a very good option
