Appealing - mentioning of disease?

In my UC application, i had only mentioned my having of diabetes once, and that was in the scholarships section. There was no explanation of type 1 or type 2 diabetes.

I was wondering if appealing to the school about my diabetes would be acceptable, such as injecting myself 5+ times a day while being an active member of a sports team.

I know, it seems like I’m trying to pull the sympathy card, but thinking about it, diabetes has been a huge part of my life and I did not mention it one bit (except for that one part) in my application.

You've got a case. What school?

UCLA - i just heard this news today. would it be wise to start an appeal quick?

It would be wise to make a strong case for yourself before you appeal. Write it down exactly, figure out who to get recs from, and search the forum for what people that got in through appeal last year wrote about to get in. Don't rush this, its not based on when you turn it in, its based on how well its presented.
