Appealing My Rejections

Is it possible to write letters of appeal to multiple schools that denied me and not just one? I got hit with rejections from a few dream schools and want to see if it will work out … I’m worried that if I write to one CSU or UC campus and then another that there could be communication between the two schools and my appeals will just be disregarded because of it (I feel like if the schools were to communicate they both received appeals from the same person it will seem less genuine) idk how to word this please help (btw i already sent an appeal letter to one CSU and want to do another one to another CSU around the same area)

Each school will consider your appeal but you need a legitimate and documented reason for the appeal. It does not matter if you send multiple appeals but you can only indicate one school is your first choice if your appeal is accepted.

ok yeah in the appeal i already sent i provided a legitimate reason and evidence… one more question do i have to tell schools they aren’t the only school i’m appealing to?? i’m just worried sending multiple will hurt my chances if they think i’m just writing it to go anywhere i can … thanks for your help !!

You do not need to let other schools know about the appeals but how many schools are you filing an appeal?

just two more so 3 in total. one of the 2 ones i’m thinking of is a UC and i think i might just scratch that and keep it limited to just appeals to 2 CSU’s

If you think "hey , I am a good student why didn’t admit me? then don’t appeal. If every student do that it would be ridiculous.

if you think “I sent this form and it doesn’t show you have it or my GC didn’t send stuff on time or the wrong SAT scores were sent”…then appeal. This is based on the process being messed up, not just that they didn’t select you.

The only appeal I’ve ever heard that worked was one in which there turned out to be a serious typo on the transcript. (A D that was actually a B.)

I’ve heard of transcripts getting mixed up, where no one checked the name. That was back in the bad old days, but that’s the kind of basis you need to launch a successful appeal.
