appealing to NYU

I got rejected from NYU Stern and I was wondering if there is some sort of appeal process that I can go through. I know it'll be hard but I want to try it anyways. I heard that UCs has appeal processes so I decided to make a topic on NYU.

on the application I put that English is my first language but English was actually my third language. I didn't want to tell them English is my third language because I thought I might have to take TOEFL ...

Will telling them change much at this point?
I also have a financial situation in my family. I'm working a job right now to help my family. I applied to their HEOP program for stern but they didn't accept me.

Anyone here familiar with the process or went through it before? Does anyone know about their statistics for people who tried appealing?

Is it even possible for me to get in given my situation? (language and financial) How about also getting a recommendation letter? and if so, whoshould I get it from? a teacher or someone else?

Thanks a lot and sorry for the long thread.

bump please help

The NYU forum is a much better place to ask, but to be quite honest, I don't think there's an appeals process.

OMG, your working a JOB? No teenager has EVER done that before, that right there should have guaranteed admission.

The UC's are public universities and have a formal appeal process. NYU is a private university and has no such appeal process. I doubt they'd even entertain it, particularly not at Stern with a very low admissions rate.

Time to move on.
