Appealing

i was seriously injured my junior year, so i am appealing telling them about how my grades were affected by the surgery and all the rehabilitation time along with the medication i was taking. If my grades senior year have improved to a 4.0 from about a 3.5 my junior year, with 3.8 overall does that give me a shot?

If this information wasn’t included in your origianl application then yes.

no it wasnt, i thought a 3.8 gpa with 1940 sats and 4 varsity sports would be good enough to get me in, apparrantly it was only good enough for UCSC this year..

I think you have a good shot at an appeal, good luck!

You have a very good chance I say. A few years back my brother was accepted into Berkeley but he didn’t keep a 3.0 UW GPA his first semester and he notified them, and they rescinded his application. However, he had an injury as well and appealed with this new information and was readmitted. So go for it!

Wow… 3.8/1940 and 4 varsity sports and you didn’t get in?
This place is starting to get competitive.
