Appealing

hey do you guys know anything about the appeals system for the hotel school? (if there is one)

i actually thought i had a pretty good chance, but its definately where i want to go

thanks

I doubt that you will be able to have your admission decision appealed. You might be able to have your guidance counselor call the hotel school and find out why you didn't get it, although I'm not sure they will give you an answer.

If you can't come this year, there's always the option of transferring!

I hear appeals are like impossible at pretty much any private college. Just try to transfer in after a year or so (that's what I might do). But the acceptance rate for external transfer is so low.
Does anyone know if:
1) cornell takes into consideration the type of college your transferring from; like a top 20 school rather than an average school.
2) cornell takes into account your grades from your senior year of high school. I assume they do since senior grades becomes part of your h.s transcript. and do they look at your ap exam scores from high school?

3)The worst grades on my high school transcript were earned in grades 8, 9, kind of 10th. If I transfer to cornell after my freshman year of college, would they even take those into account or would they look mostly at grades 11 n 12 and freshman yr of college?
