Appeals process for the rejected?

Hi, despite my username, i’m not a sophomore anymore but a senior and was rejected from BC a few weeks ago. BC was basically my top choice and I’m extremely upset and was wondering if you can appeal to BC and what would be the best way to appeal (letter, college rec, etc), thanks.

I’m pretty sure you can’t and should not appeal. I think you should start thinking about the other schools you got into and be happy for that. If you still are unhappy later, think about transferring, but schools really do not appeal decisions.

Dear mnsophmore : I wanted to take a few moments to write a heartfelt note to you. While BC has not opened its doors to you at this time, my feeling is that this year’s competitive field and lengthy waitlist should be a signal for you to explore other options for your collegiate career. Pouring your energies into choosing one of the schools that has accepted your application will prove much more rewarding than laboring over BC’s view of your current application. Use your four years of collegiate education to position yourself to excel, explore new disciplines, and build a resume that will make you a sought after candidate by employers or graduate schools. I wish you the very best and good luck over the next several weeks in selecting your final school.
