I was waitlisted for Davis and was wondering if people who appeal go after the waitlisted people. There have been several people who got into schools such as UCLA and UCSD through appealing (as I read from the Appeals thread).

But, I don’t think it’s fair for those who appeal to get a spot before the waitlisted individuals.

So, which has priority?

i would think the waitlisted people

appeals i believe r separate from regular admissions, and dont affect the waitlist
there r only about 50 ppl who get accepted thru appeal, so it isnt that big of a deal to let them in if they should have gotten in in the first place

it should be seperate, historically sucessful appeals are generally low anyways, so it doesn’t hurt to accept some extra aggies :). I believe that every year at least some1 gets in each UCs through appeal

thanks you guys :]

you can have my UCD spot nightstar. lol

Is anyone else appealing to UC Davis? I wonder if a lot of people did this year.

I did…although there isn’t really any point…<.<(ok people stop asking me y did i bother when I got in LA and B -.-). least we start knowing by april 30 :D

The point of appealing is to really, really want to get into that particular school, as in, it was your original first choice. Shibykin, sorry to say, but I really hope that Davis is your first choice if you decided to appeal.

Ugh it’s a consideration but I really do like the college community and the people there are really friendly :)

Davis appeals are out! As expected, everyone I know who appealed to Davis got rejected.

Thanks Hairy Lemon but if I don’t get a spot, I’ll just attend UC Irvine :]
