Muahahahahahahahah!

crossing fingers!

Best of luck, I still haven’t turned in my appeal.

where is this status for?

ucberkeley

me too vyruz reaper, i’m hoping they post a decision soon!!! fingers crossed.

where are you going if your appeal isn’t reversed? i accepted at Davis and UCLA, but i’m going to Davis. i wouldn’t have to work as much if i go there and could commute from my home in albany.

The thing is, having the opportunity to learn economics with Dr. Ramar at Cal is too good of a thing to give up.

so i’m not the only one who chose Davis over UCLA? Good to know

Congrats Vryuz Reaper! If you don’t mind me asking, when did you send your appeal in? I hand delivered mine today…just wondering how long it took them to update your status.

And whoa, that’s cool that they’ll try to notify by the 1st!

fingers crossed for us appealies.

sobizzle, what’s your major at davis? will you be living in davis?

i submitted exactle a week ago, and it took CAL about 3-4 days to get it up :)

ditto for me. i mailed mine from 2 blocks from campus last monday and by wed my online status showed “received”, just like vyruz.

What are the appeals success rates? Just curious because this girl I know is appealing.

Ilivefree-
I am an economics major. I’ll be living in single student apts, not sure which ones yet though

2-3% a girl can hope though. :)

2%…that’s about the same rate as getting into Stanford as a transfer T_T

yup, odds aren’t great, but you know, like i said, a girl can hope!

It really depends tho. Most people just write about how good they are and are just really ****ed off they got rejected. I for one wrote with true “new and appealing” info with doctor’s notes. I was already a “strong” candidate.

^^^Agreed. I’ve heard of a few people getting in through an appeal at UCSD and UCLA and one at Cal…so it is possible.

Does anybody know where the 2-3% appeal success rate comes from?

Vu Tran, Admissions director at UCLA said that 1600 people appealed last year and only 70 got accepted. that about a 4% clip rate

edit: tranfer students data only

If you appeal, are you bound to go to that school? Contract-wise?
Just asking. I’m not appealing to any school.
