I previed my application in the acrobat text reader but the one that i send in and previewed looks nothing like that.
All the text is together including essays and the resume that i had pasted in the additional information! What should i do?
thanks

I had problems w/ their script (it didn't recognize quotation marks, apostrophes, underlining, just about anything that wasn't a letter). I sent my essay in by mail.

oh you mean, the common app, and after you sent it, all the text is jumbled together? i think its just like that, hopefully the print preview is what counts. can anyone comfirm?

Yes, the print preview is fine... its not jumbled together.
However, the spaces are random, some lines have more spaces between them and stuff... some are doubled spaced etc.

which one is the one colleges see?

Colleges see the print preview version. The spacing can often be strange, especially between paragraphs, but this does not matter to colleges since the essay is still comprehendable.

i was going to do all the common app online, but it was ****ing me off, so what i did was left the essays blank (it woulndt let me print it totally blank so i put a little unnoticable period) and printed out the blank pages with the correct headings. Then i went into word and formatted it to look like it's supposed to on the common app and just printed it onto the page. I know they probably know common app's formatting sucks, but i rather make mine more readable since i had a lot of dialogue in my essay.

that happened to me to. the essay is perfect in print preview, but after i sent it, the spacing got messed up!

stupid common app
