<p>About the batteries---I believe the first poster was saying that only a few MODELS of the computer were recalled due to faulty batteries. You know, MacBook as one model, iBook as another, etc (i dont know if these are the models recalled--well, i know macbook wasnt b/c i still have mine). </p>
<p>Yes, it did affect thousands of computers but was limited to a few models.</p>
