My sister is really bad with technology so maybe applecare would be a good thing just in case her macbook has problems but I'm still undecided. I would like some of your inputs. Thanks!</p>
<p>Applecare is worth the money, though not the money you pay through Apple. Do an eBay search for Applecare for the 13" MacBok Pro. It is $250 through Apple, I picked mine up for $120.</p>

<p>We have had 3 Macs and all 3 had major problems, after the first experience we just get the apple care, but you have time till the original warranty runs out, so you can wait to buy it.</p>

<p>A lot of credit cards will double your manufacturer warranty for free, as long as you buy it on the card - so you’d get a 2-year warranty, 1 year from apple and 1 year from the credit card company.</p>
<p>You can buy Applecare within the 1 year original warranty.</p>
